Welcome to Savanahland Educational Park

Danny and Debbie Kolwyck, owners of Savanahland, have been raising exotic animals since 1970.  In 1995, a baby chimpanzee named Savanah joined their family. Savanah was able to be shared with many people at nursing homes, birthday parties and with underprivileged and special needs children.  When it came time for Savanah to retire from public appearances, the Kolwyck's thought it would be best, because of   Savanah's delight for entertaining people, to bring the people to her.  Savanahland was opened in 1998.As well as seeing Savanah, you can also see other chimps, several other varieties of primates, camels, tapir, buffalo, kangaroo, African hoofstock, tortoises as well as common farm animals.  We are privately funded and with your support we can continue to make changes and add new exhibits for all to share.
